MARX Ramp Walker Hap & Hop 1950

MARX created this 1950’s ramp walker “Hap & Hop”.

MARX created this MARX ramp walker Hap & Hop 1950.  These fun lil’ soldiers will march down a ramp with ease! View from one of several original blueprints from the Louis Marx Co. of Penna. showing the details of the Hap and Hop ramp walker. The log shows that the drawing was first done in March of 1951 and that that material to be used was Polystyrene plastic. I have found at least 10 versions in my research with different color combos and production origins. These were made in Hong Kong as clearly marked on feet. Condition is very good with some minor scuffs and a small mark on bottom of foot. Great for racing desk side!

The art of “ramping”
1. find a hard flat surface for a ramp
2.raise the ramp approx. 1 inch for every foot
3. Put you Ramp Walker at the top and let him go
Louis Marx and Company was an American toy manufacturer from 1919 to 1978. Its boxes were imprinted with the slogan, “One of the many Marx toys, have you all of them?”
