Comics and Sci-Fi August Gallery Show
The wonderful world of Comics and Sci-Fi will be the fun theme for the month of August at Art Of Toys. The walls were curated my guest curator Krisitina McCallahan along with fun toys to delight all ages! This show is all artists from the Sacramento region.
– Lorrain Garcia – Rain Embellishments will be showing her jewelry including a Star Wars collection of characters.
-Laurelin Gilmore has created a wonderful hero and villian series from her perspective which just shouts FUN these are originals on canvas.
-Dwight Head- Art Of Toys is proud to feature the creative look at Sci-Fi comics thru the incredible art of Dwight Head. Dwight has used colored pencils to create these wonders you must see in person the detail is amazing.
-Jared Konopitski seems to be everywhere with a show at Empire Comics as well as Art Of Toys so we are very happy to be able to share a few of his super fun original pieces on canvas.
-Gabe Sanford has a selection of his extremly detailed Mouse Series done in pen and ink on paper.
-The ever popular Chris Cinder has once again come thru with a large selection of paintings from his take on Star Wars characters.
A selection of Art Of Toys resident artists will also be included well as a selection of toys, Marvel characters and Sun Stasher masks! This is a fun family art adventure and kid friendly so bring the family to discover new and old comic and Sci-Fi heros.
Start your 2nd Saturday adventure at Art Of Toys in the heart of restaurant row with many restaurants to choose from where the Handle District meets Midtown! The evening of 2nd Saturday will have Artie Annette back offering a FREE art project, 5:30 til 8:00 for all ages!
