Comics and SciFi at Art Of Toys Gallery in August
Comics and SciFi at Art Of Toys Gallery in August will let you discover some of Sacramento’s talented comic book illustrators that are selling prints and original unique illustrations as well as their books. Artists include Chris Cinder, Guido DiGeronimo, Angelo Esquivel, Mario Estioko, Jared Konopitski, Shane Murphy and Daniel TuUcaAn Starflower. Art Of Toys will also be selling a private collectors original vintage cell and splash sheet art hand painted by an assortment of artists many include the Comic Book that art is featured in as well as the art.
A selection of Art Of Toys resident artists will also be included well as a large selection of comic and sci-fi themed toys! This is a fun family art adventure and kid friendly so bring the family to discover the fantastic art created to make a Comic Book.
Start your 2nd Saturday adventure at Art Of Toys in the heart of restaurant row with many restaurants to choose from where the Handle District meets Midtown! The evening of 2nd Saturday will have Artie Annette back offering a FREE art project 5:30 til dark for all ages!
Chris Cinder is a resident artist at Art Of Toys with an ongoing feature wall of his creative original cardstock bots and original Robot paintings on canvas.
Guido DiGeronimo was born and raised in Italy a few miles south of Rome, Guido grew up in an artistic environment and this is his first public showing of his beautiful detailed drawings.
Angelo Esquivel resides in Sacramento, CA and is artist with works in graphic design, paintings, and photography. He obtained a degree in Graphic Design and Business while in Columbia, and studied Photography at UC Davis. Angelo will have be showing a variety of media.
Mario Estioko hails from Rocklin, California. His greatest accomplishment is his marriage to his sweetheart of 27 years and their five wonderful kiddies. When not at home tinkering with pencil and paper, he is either teaching graphic design at Sacramento State University or hunting trout in the Northern Sierras.
Shane Murphy was born in Daytona Beach, Florida and raised in Orlando, Florida. He has a half-brother, Jim. While working as a carpenter with his father, Shane lost part of his left index finger, but it did not affect the way he held his palette while painting. Shane will be selling his original illustrated comic book Birdman.
Daniel TuUcaAn Starflower is an artist and cartoonist living and working in Sacramento. He has self-published several comics, including Underwater Crystal Zone issues 1-3 and the webcomic-turned-print comic (via KickStarter) Escape From Cubicleland!
