Well in a perfect world that might happen but even the best art has to have a way for the collector to see for it to sell. It takes time, energy and sometimes tough skin to go out and sell your own art to galleries and collectors…which can go back to CHAT 1.
From the start whether you can get a gallery to handle or you decide to sell direct online in a place like etsy, ebay or your own website you should make your pricing reflect what is needed for a gallery to handle. Figure out cost as discussed in CHAT 2 if you sell directly///whoo hoo you made more but if a gallery handles this can save you the time, energy and cost of promoting and selling the art leaving you more time to create more! Nothing is free in life!
