Car Art at Art Of Toys

The art of Cars celebrates one of the our most beloved forms of transportation with art in some form of the automobile. Art Of Toys Cars Show will feature the unique perspective of photographer Alister Oliver , ceramic creations from artist Jeffrey Bekerleg and futuristic concepts from Jake Jered as well as production toy cars.

Alister Oliver -The Grandson of a mechanic and the son of a Jaguar engineer, basically had no choice than to cherish and capture all types of automobiles in his memorable photos. All ages will appreciate the art found in the simple lines of design found in Alister’s photos. . Alister now calls Sacramento his home and can often be found shooting the local life of the Midtown grid.

Jeffery Beckerleg -The artist, Jeffery Beckerleg, resides in Georgetown, California where he works out of his studios. His art covers a broad range of mediums:  Metal Sculptures & wall hangings, stained glass:  windows, mirrors & jewelry boxes, acrylic paintings:  Canvas & Metal, Fused Glass, CERAMICS:  masks,  dragonflies & butterflies, various  models of cars, including  Lead-Sleds, Salt-Flat cars, Racers, Trucks.

Jake Jerde– Jake Jerde is a local artist that began his journey into the world of art when he was a young boy. Jake learned to put model kits together at a very early age. From there, he progressed into an artform called “scratch building.” This artform utilizes parts of toys and other non-toy parts to create his art. His inspiration comes from retro science fiction movies and comic books. He currently has an interest is creating all sorts vehicles. In the past, Jake has created miniature dioramas, Steampunk art, and an occasional painting.   Jake has shown his art at previous venues in Sacramento in a few 2nd Saturday’s in past years.

On 2nd Saturday Artie Annette will be returning with a fun FREE art project for all ages out front of Art Of Toys from 5:30 to dark start your walk here we will have maps and there are many restaurants within the block.
