Description
Dutch Girl Bisque Frozen vintage doll with jointed arms from Japan. This darling doll has very detailed paintied details with gold molded hair. Blue cloche with red band , white blouse with very detailed pattern designs, blue shorts and orange shoes . Arms are jointed at shoulder with elastic string attachment. Back has incised marking “MADE IN JAPAN” placing doll 1950. This doll is 5.5″ tall.
All bisque dolls were primarily manufactured in France, Germany and Japan. German companies were the most prolific until World War I when German goods were no longer available. At this time Japan increased it’s production of dolls. Many were copies of the German dolls.made a number of original models..
