Description
With brilliant blue rolling eyeballs and a perpetually startled expression, Toogle Monster looks like he’s been caught mid-skip through some fantastical realm. This pint-sized character radiates personality—from his single sharp shell tooth to his wildly sculpted hands and feet frozen in animated motion. A wispy tuft of cream-colored wool hair completes the look of a creature who’s all energy and curiosity.
About the Piece
Part of Terri Rehg’s Gray Series, Toogle Monster showcases the artist’s signature intuitive process. What began as an exploration of gray canvas evolved into a rich collection of dimensional textile creatures, each unique. True to the series, Toogle started with those expressive eyes—everything else emerged stitch by stitch until this energetic little being sprang to life.
